In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, I would like to know
whether and to what extent BART has done any of the following:

- Increased inventory of cleaning supplies
- Provided regular briefings or updates on agency protocol to your staff
- Committed to cleaning each vehicle multiple times per day
- Distributed posters at stations and employee common areas to educate people
on how to prevent the spread of COVID-19
- Barred passengers from the front of buses and trains to protect drivers
- Changed fare payment policies to better protect staff
- Enforced social distancing by limiting the capacity of buses and trains
- Discontinued non-essential customer service and maintenance operations
- Closed stations and entrances adjacent to non-essential uses
- Provided staff with personal protective gear such as gloves, hand
sanitizer, masks, and disinfectant
- Required passengers and staff members to wear masks and/or gloves
- Made information about infected staff members available online
- Clearly displayed online and in-station listings of public transit
alternatives and places where you’ve reduced service
- Provided publicly accessible virtual meetings among your upper-level
management team
- Actively solicited public comments on your protocols during the COVID-19
- Coordinated education and testing efforts with the CDC, state DPH, and
other transit agencies
- Distributed no-touch hand sanitizer and/or antibacterial wipe dispensers at
each station
- Made frequent announcements on board trains and buses and on station
message boards regarding COVID-19 protocol
- Made an internal task force to work exclusively on COVID-19 matters
- Made an official emergency plan or hazard work policy
